Understanding
the process
Provide
us with your choice of a negative or photograph (negatives
have a better quality scan and are safer to ship
in the mail. The photograph can be a standard 4x6
or larger. Upon completion of the project, we will
ship your negative or photo back to you the safest
way possible provided by the US postal service.
Please let us know if you would like any modifications to your
photo before we proceed. For instance: color adjustments, cropping,
removing elements of the photo in the painting, etc...
|

|
Once we receive your image we will then proceed to scan the
image into a high quality scanner, which will enable us
to enlarge your image to the desired print size you choose
from while keeping the quality of the original image. At
this point the image is imported into high quality image
editing software to enable us to manipulate the image to
your satisfaction. |

|
Once
the image has been prepared we transfer the image
to another program in which we start painting directly
to an advanced wacom tablet. This tablet is as close
as it gets to painting on a canvas. It is pressure
sensitive and extremely acurate.

| As soon
as we add the finishing brush strokes, we will provide
you with a link via email to preview the watercolor.
You will also be able to preview your painting within
various mat board colors. If you are satisfied with
both the painting and mat color you will then proceed
to checkout. The purchasing section of the website
will let you choose a final print size, hot or cold
pressed watercolor paper, mat color, and shipping info,
and is completely secure. |
| |
|
| Once
your order has been processed we will prepare the
painting for print. We use a high quality canon inkjet
printer which provideds minute droplets of archival
ink to create prints that cannot be duplicated by
other printing techniques. Because there is no visible
dot screen pattern the resulting image has all of
the subtle tonalities of the original art. Each dot
may have over 4 billion possible colors! This produces
exceptional museum quality prints.

 |
| The papers
that we use are generally either hot or cold pressed
watercolor paper and range from 120lb to 140lb in wieght. |
